This Old Cub This Old Cub is a joyous and tender illustration of one of baseball’s living legends– Chicago Cubs broadcaster, superfan and former third baseman Ron Santo. This grand slam of a sports documentary plays the highlights reel of Santo’s stellar career– the 342 home runs, the five Golden Gloves and the explosive season of ’69 when the Cubs came the closest to a World Series bid in 60 years; it also captures Santo’s inspirational, decades-long struggle with a life-threatening form of diabetes. A classic story of both glory and frailty, This Old Cub faithfully follows Santo as he loses his second leg to Type 1 diabetes but emerges from therapy to become only the third Cub ever to have his number retired. Listen to a star-studded cast of famous baseball fans, including actors Bill Murray and Gary Sinise, as well as iconic Cubs Ernie Banks, Ferguson Jenkins and Billy Williams as they extol Santo’s amazing abilities on the baseball diamond and his status as the Ultimate Cub– brave, optimistic and loyal. Run time: 91 minutes. Customer Review: Ron Santo: Cub Forever Ron Santo should have a special place in every Cub fan’s heart. Beyond that, this documentary should remind all bseball fans what the game is really about. Very few players these days exhibit the love of the game more than Ronny. In a day when money rules where players want to play, Santo shows how one man can truly love the city he plays for. This film proves beyond a doubt why Santo belongs in the Hall of Fame. It proves why Santo is the greatest Cub fan in history. It proves that no one bleeds Cubbie blue like Ronny.

This was Lou’s 3rd Manager of the Year award, but first in the National League. Pinella has won the manager of the year award twice previously, in 1995 and 2001, while managing the Seattle Mariners of the American League. Customer Review: Baseball Mom I’m a single mom with two boys who are both in little league. I love watching them play and rooting for them at their games. The only problem is I know absolutely nothing about baseball; that is except for what my boys tell me. It pulls the heart out of me to see them want to succeed so bad and not have any experience or advice to give them in the baseball feild. Before spending a good chunk of money for a baseball camp, I thought it might be a good idea to look around first. The D&D Baseball videos were fantastic! They explain everything in detail but very hands-on so you can actually see how to do it. Most important, it’s not complicated or too wordy so even kids at the little league level can understand. The boys are ecstatic at how much they’re learning and say that because they’re learning from pro players, they’re getting some insider tips that the other kids won’t even know! Even I have learned a thing or two from sitting down and watching it with them. I’m definitely impressed, my kids have improved tremendously, and would recommend this video to anyone. It’s also helped me feel like I’m doing my part to help my kids succeed at what they love.
A Happy Baseball Mom Customer Review: GOOD STUFF These videos were excellent for my son who is in his second year of little league. The instructors are to the point and make it easy for an “amateur” like myself to understand the proper teaching techniques. I would say this is a must have for any parent who would like to help their child become a better baseball player.
