Types of baseball scorebooks In as much as each scorebook may be customized to suit the needs of each team, there are two general types of baseball scorebooks that are available in the market today, the manual and electronic baseball scorebooks. Mostly spiral bound, manual scorebooks are portable notebooks in form, complete with the required stat sheets. What we have done is started sending cards to player in a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE). To date we have collected over signed 100 cards this way. Many from all-stars like Mike Mussina, Andrew Jones, Brad Lidge, Fernando Valenzuela and Mark Buerhle. Younger players and retired players are more likely to sign than many of the current big names. Do not expect anything back from Alex Rodriguez or Derek Jeter. Not only is it great fun for my son and I to collect these, they also make great presents and gifts.
